What a strange thing death is... It is in the case of a death when God blesses us the most, and yet we are too overcome with grief to recognize it and be amazed by it.
You read the verse "Where O death is your victory? Where O death is your sting?" And you think the sting of death should be gone because we are Christians and we should be rejoicing for them. But it's not. Sure we're happy for them but it is still extremely painful.
Death turns everyone into awkward beings who desperately search for the right words to say, and yet often end up doing more harm then good.
In the case of a death, you are overwhelmed by the blessing of people who think practically. Who bring you basic necessities, and do the tasks that you are too distracted by grief to even think about.
